Payment & Insurance FAQ
How are Sessions billed?
Sessions are paid for using a credit card, debit card, HSA or FSA on file at midnight after the day of service.

Are you In-Network with Insurance?
I am an out of network therapist meaning I am not within the network for the insurance company. If you wish to use an Out of Network PPO plan, I can supply a Superbill once a month which functions like a receipt with codes that insurance recognizes and apply toward your policy.

What is a Superbill?
A superbill is a statement of accounts that includes all the information such as diagnoses and procedure codes that insurance companies need in order to process a claim.

What is the benefit of cash pay?
Cash pay ensures your total privacy and ability to select the care you want for the length of time you want treatment. It also allows us to use the desired method that is evidence based without any terms determined by a third party. Finally, a diagnosis is not reported which is a valuable consideration for some including the ability to apply for life insurance, military, or some professions.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
All uninsured or private pay clients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
I will include a Good Faith Estimate as part of yo ur intake paperwork before services begin.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
